New representation for the Benelux

We are pleased to announce our new representation "Joint International" for the Benelux. Joint International was founded in 1990, since the beginning of 2008 it is run by Herman Schartman, 46.
The company has two main business fields: nonwovens and laminating media, i.e. webs, films, PU membranes and now also thermoplastic adhesive powders from Abifor AG. We are convinced to be able to better serve the markets in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg with our new partner.

50 years anniversary in 2007

On 20./21.09.2007 Abifor Ltd. celebrated its 50 years anniversary. Our agents and the biggest customers were invited to this event. More than 80 participants could enjoy two wonderful days in Switzerland by most beatiful weather.

Expansion of production in China

Due to its fast expansion, the production of Abifor Ltd. in China, which was set up 3 years ago already, moved its site into the Jiufu industrial park in the southwest of Shanghai in mid September 2007. In doing so, the capacity was doubled and the local management further reinforced. The Chinese and South-Asian market is rapidly developing and represents a great challenge for Abifor Ltd. Further strategic steps for the expansion of the leader position are planned.

Hightex fair in Istanbul

Together with our Turkish agent Fuleks Mümessillik, Abifor Ltd. was present on the Hightex fair 2007 in Istanbul. We were able to welcome a lot of visitors from Turkey, Iran, Eastern Europe and Asia and to discuss projects with customers.
We highly appreciate these trade fair and thanks to all visitors.

ISO 14001:2004

Abifor Ltd passed the audit made by the TÜV Rheinland for the  environmental certification of ISO 14001:2004 in September 2007.
Since more than 10 years ago the company already certified by the quality management system accoring to ISO 9001:2000. With the fully integrated management system according to ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 Abifor Ltd. emphasises its high demand on product and service quality and fulfils its responsibility for resource-friendly and sustained dealing with our environment.

In today’s global economy, the DUNS-Number. has become the standard for keeping track of the world’s businesses, used by more than 50 global, industry and trade associations, including UN, EC, U.S. Federal Government. The Volkswagen Ltd. has introduced the DUNS-No for its worldwide purchasing.

Abifor Ltd. is officially listed in the D&B DUNS database with the above mentioned Number.
 

Registered in the IMDS

The IMDS is the automotive Industry Material Data System. It is a joint development of the most car manufacturer like Audi, Daimler Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Opel, Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot, Renault, SAAB, Skoda, Seat  and VW. Other car manufacturers intend to participate in IMDS.

In the IMDS, all materials used for car manufacturer are archived and maintained. Only in this way is it possible to meet the obligations placed on car manufacturers, and thus on their suppliers, by national and international standards, laws, regulations, environmental protection principles and recycling level requirements from the year 2015. The “VDA list for notifiable substances” is integral to the IMDS.

Abifor Ltd. has registered its automotive industry related products in the IMDS.
