Change of organization / new employees

Abifor has adjusted its structures to fast growth and increasing technical requirements as well as to internal circumstances. With these change, we are convinced to be able to offer our customers an even more competent and faster service and technical support.

Joinings

	On 1 July 2011 Markus Kohlhof took up the position as manager “Technical Support & Customer Service“. Together with Klaus Reinarz, he will deal with any technical concerns and new developments in association with hot-melt powders. In this function, he will predominantly support and consult the customers on site, as well as discuss projects and leads them towards realization.
	On 1 November 2011 Karsten Schlaeger took up the position as manager „Purchasing and Sales Administration“. He is responsible for the purchase of raw materials and will together with Antonella Albanese handle the internal sales and export. The daily customer contact, predominantly by phone, as well as coordination and handling of orders will be undertaken by the Zurich office.

 
We would like to welcome Markus Kohlhof and Karsten Schlaeger warmly to the Abifor Team and wish both of them a good start and much joy with interesting work.

Resignation

Marco Hilhorst has left our company. He wanted to a new challenge at a larger internationally active company. We regret his resignation and would like to thank him very much for his commitment and the work he rendered. We wish him all the best for his private as well as professional life, much success and joy with the new job.

Management Change in China

We are convinced that our operation in China is well positioned and we expect them to continuously grow in the next years. Since 1 January 2011 Mr Juerg WYSS  manages the company as General Manager. Next to his excellent professional background and well-founded international career Juerg is fluently speaking English, Chinese and German. His engagement contributes to the continuous growth of the company. 

The team in China is completed by Wing LAU who leads the Technical Department for hot-melt adhesives and coating powders as well as by Charlotte Chen who manages the Sales Administration and Export.

Abifor Ltd. is officially listed in the D&B DUNS database with the above mentioned Number.
 

Registered in the IMDS

The IMDS is the automotive Industry Material Data System. It is a joint development of the most car manufacturer like Audi, Daimler Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Opel, Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot, Renault, SAAB, Skoda, Seat  and VW. Other car manufacturers intend to participate in IMDS.

In the IMDS, all materials used for car manufacturer are archived and maintained. Only in this way is it possible to meet the obligations placed on car manufacturers, and thus on their suppliers, by national and international standards, laws, regulations, environmental protection principles and recycling level requirements from the year 2015. The “VDA list for notifiable substances” is integral to the IMDS.

Abifor Ltd. has registered its automotive industry related products in the IMDS.
