High-Density Polyethylen (HDPE)
The very good laundry resistance up to 95°C is the remarkable property of interlining coated with HDPE hot-melt powders. But the resistance against solvent is quite limited.
In automotive applications requesting a high bond fail temperature HDPE is applied by scatter coating.
For the fusing of these kind of interlinings (top fuse) used for shirts and blouses the following bonding conditions depending of the applied abifor®-powder are needed:
