Co-Polyamide (Co-PA)
By combining 3 to 4 polyamide building components Co-Polyamides with melting ranges between 80 - 140°C can be produced. Due to the very good resistance against solvents used in dry cleaning like perchloro-ethylene, abifor® Co-Polyamides are perfect to be used in the garment industry.
In general the laundry resistances are around 40°C to 60°C. With special grades, like our abifor 500 a wash resistance up to 95°C can be managed.
For technical applications by means of the scatter coating process Co-Polyamides are used due to their excellent adhesion to properties.
